Cyprus is known for the warm hospitality of its people and Filotimo is a traditionally styled Cypriot taverna with a traditional warm welcome, great traditionally Cypriot food and on Friday and Saturday, really good traditional Cypriot music too!

Filotimo is a spacious restaurant occupying two levels with enough tables and chairs for everyone. Separate dishes can be ordered from the menu, but most diners opt for the Mezédhes/ Mezé.

Mezé is the traditional Greek meal that comprises of many different dishes that give an authentic taste of local cuisine. It is said that this style of dining evolved several centuries ago when a Greek man unexpectedly brought a colleague home for a meal. The man's wife was horrified as she did not have a meal to offer their guest  but cleverly prepared an array of little dishes of  the different foods she had in her larder and the mezedhes - meaning 'little bites' was born!

At Filotimo the Mezé is never the same twice as the array of dishes regularly change to mark the changing seasons and the different foods available. Mezé is perfect for sharing with friends at a leisurely pace lasting much of the evening, and at Filotimo each of the dishes is beautifully prepared and many are seasoned with local herbs - the result is a truly delicious taste of Cypriot cuisine.

On Fridays and Saturdays there is live music to enjoy too and everyone enjoys the colourful folk songs and it is not unusual for impromptu dancing to begin.

Whilst an evening at Filotimo is always fun but the management know that with live music it is even better so it is a lovely touch that they give a 15% discount on food  bills on 'non music nights' ... and with true Cypriot hospitality there are complimentary drinks served too...

Filotimo also offers catering services on Sunadays and food delivery at the neraby villages.
