Overview of Cavo Greko

Cavo Greco National Park, located in the south-eastern part of Cyprus, in Ayia Napa, attracts many visitors as it is an area of unique natural beauty, where one can admire magnificent rock formations, crystal clear blue waters and more than 36 different orchid species and over 80 species of birds.

Within the 385 hectares the visitor has a variety of options of things to do. Firstly, one can explore the area on foot or on a bike. There are eight natural trails in the Cavo Greko - Paralimni area. One of these trails forms part of the European Long Distance Trail E4, running from Gibraltar to Cyprus. Another choice, is to take one of the trails leading to Cyclops cave, further East of the park with stalactites form a beautiful background for magnificent pictures.

Furthermore, the park is ideal for snorkeling. Clear blue waters with visibility reaching 30 to 40 metres satisfy both swimmers and divers. If you are not a diver, then head towards the eastern edge of the park, to the picturesque Konnos Bay surrounded by pine trees. Relax by the beach or choose your favourite water-sport.

Alternative, take a boat and droop an anchor to admire the magnificent ten-metre limestone cliffs and sea caves.

One of the few buildings in the park, is a small, beautiful white church dedicated to Agii Anargyri.
